Department Introduction
Origin and History:
Since the inception, many attending and resident physicians were brought up in the department of acupuncture and traumatology. In addition, we were responsible for the internship guidance and clinical training for the interns in the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, also the acupuncture lectures in the school. Over the past decade, we have invited well-known experts and scholars to give speeches, including dozen of acupuncture experts in Mainland China and many international scholars. We tried to achieve a world-class level not only academic research but also the clinical services.
The Future:
We aimed to train up our Chinese physicians have both the ability of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine. Make them have integrative capacity of medical knowledge, and evidence-based medical research techniques.
1. Training goals of Chinese acupuncture:
◇ Learning four examinations in Chinese medicine, channel and network pattern identification
◇ Common acupoints identification and basic techniques of acupuncture.
◇ Clinical pathways of common diseases, including the diagnosis and management.
2. Training goals of Chinese orthopedics and Traumatology:
◇ Strengthen the basic clinical training for common disorders in Chinese orthopedics and traumatology, including the four examinations in Chinese medicine and special physical examinations.
◇ Strengthen the training for patients in outpatient clinics and inpatient services.
◇ To understand and apply the common supplementary instruments in Chinese orthopedics and traumatology.
