Department Introduction
The subdivision of otology had been set up for more than 45 years. It is the largest cochlear implant center in this country, and had served more than 850 patients in this field. We had followed these patients continuously and had collected their longitudinal data about speech perception, speech production, language development, reading ability and academic achievements. We are also the largest hearing aid center in the island and provide services like hearing aid consultation, fitting and validation. We dealed daily with patients with ear disease and different degree of hearing loss and had a lot of experience in surgery such as tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, facial nerve decompression, sac operation, labyrinthectomy et, al.
