Introduction:
The Kidney Research Center is the first center in the country that focuses on research related to kidney medicine, collaborates with exceptional domestic and international research teams to explore the prevention and treatment strategies for kidney diseases.
Mission:
The Kidney Research Center has three main missions: serving patients, academic research, and fostering talent.
1. Develop innovative clinical diagnostic and treatment skills to enhance the quality of service
- Actively looking for effective preventive measures, diagnostic methods, and pharmacological treatments for various kidney diseases, as well as acute and chronic kidney dialysis replacement therapies. Our goal is to make contributions to the prevention and treatment of kidney diseases, provide quality service to patients, and benefit the general public.
2. Explore the etiology and pathogenic mechanism of kidney disease to advance the academic research level and establish a strong international reputation.
-Building upon research into local kidney diseases such as leptospirosis kidney disease and diabetic nephropathy, our focus explores the etiology and pathogenic mechanism of kidney disease. Our goal is to develop effective strategies for prevention and treatment, aiming to establish a prominent international academic status in the field of kidney research.
3. Fostering talents who possess a solid foundation in both basic and clinical medical knowledge and skills.
-Nurturing young medical research talents who possess independent scientific thinking and clinical medical capabilities. Providing them with a particular level of knowledge and technical expertise while encouraging their capacity for independently thought in research endeavors. This aims to promote the sustainable development of medical research and benefit society.
Goals:
The Kidney Research Center has three ultimate goals: exploring the pathogenic mechanism of local kidney diseases, developing strategies for the prevention and treatment of kidney diseases, and establishing an international academic reputation.
To achieve these goals, the following objectives have been set:
1. We aim to elucidate the pathogenic mechanisms underlying various kidney diseases using molecular biology techniques, cell culture techniques, and animal models of renal disease.
2.We advance preventative medicine and advance basic and clinical research in our nations healthcare system by utilizing cutting-edge biotechnology.
3.We strive to cultivate and assemble the most exceptional research teams and actively collaborate with
hospitals and research institutes both domestically and abroad.
