Metabolomics is a powerful tool for understanding the link between diseases and their phenotypes. It can be applied to predict treatment responses, allowing precision medicine for an individual patient. In order to integrate the metabolic research of Chang Gung Medical Foundation, the administration center initiated the first meeting about establishing the metabolomics core laboratory on 6th January 2014. The goals of the core laboratory are to accelerate and enhance the pipeline and the quality of metabolomics research, respectively. Moreover, by integrating multiple pieces of research from young children to the elderly, the core laboratory aims to facilitate precision medicine in the healthcare system.
