RESEARCH INTERESTS
Our team primarily focuses on researching the principles and mechanisms of extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) to promotion of tissue regeneration. ESWT is a type of physical acoustic wave that can deliver energy to cell, tissue, and organ exerting reparative effects on injured tissues. The known theoretical foundations of ESWT include promoting angiogenesis, anti-inflammatory responses, regulating immune cell activity, and activating stem cells, among others. In addition, our team conducts experiments in the field of stem cell regenerative medicine, integrating ESWT to treat musculoskeletal-related disorders. Currently, our laboratory employs several rat disease models, such as osteoarthritis, osteonecrosis of femoral head, osteoporosis, and spinal cord injury.
