個人簡介

Research interest
I immerse myself in studying the epigenetic control and metabolomic regulation of degenerative skeletal disorders, especially osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. My collective findings shed light onto microRNA functions, DNA methylation, and histone modification, including post-translational acetylation, methylation, and cronylation of lysine and arginine residues for chromatin remodeling, which affects epigenome, microRNAome, and transcriptome, and secretome landscapes during mesenchymal stem cells turn out to be bone-, cartilage, and adipose-forming cells or hematopoietic progenitor cells shift into bone-resorbing cells. Currently, I center on generating novel tissue specific double/triple gene knockout mouse models, conveying productive insight into how mitochondrial metabolites, like TCA cycle and beta-oxidation change epigenetic histone lysine/arginine demethylase function and histone reading bromodomain-containing protein pathways during tissue homeostasis and deterioration. Arrays of findings prompt my team to work out plenty of novel disease modifying options using biochemical or electrophysical, or nanoparticle ways, which have been patented or collaborated with physicians.
